Here's a little preview of the items I'll be listing in my shop in the upcoming week.

Kala wanted to get in on the photo shoot too.  Look at that face!

Last Weekend's Handmade Market

I'm about a week late but here we are.  The Handmade Market last week was a great experience.  It was really the first show I've done where the crowd was right (not in a middle school hallway or in a town with population of 500).  It felt really good to have people stop by my table and come back to buy something.  Some pictures of my table (which could have been a lot bigger):

I got the only space with some natural light.

This is what Eric did during the show...kidding!  He was very helpful.
After the show was over we packed up and headed to the Rainbo Club on Damen and Division for a few celebratory cocktails.

I'll be listing the leftover inventory from the show in my etsy shop over the next week.  Check back for a preview!

Handmade Market this weekend!

I'm doing the Chicago Handmade Market this Saturday from 12:00-4:00 pm.  Come on down!  Get a cocktail and browse the shops.  See you there!

My mom came to visit us in Chicago this weekend.  We went to a wedding dress shop and I tried on an endless array of dresses.

I feel the need to get opinions and I wish my sister could have been with us.  So yesterday I did something I shouldn't have done.  I made Eric look at all the pictures we took.  I told him to just tell me if he liked a dress or if he didn't like a dress.  I was supposed to keep my mouth shut and not let on to which dresses were my favorites.  First dress - a resounding "no".  His favorite dress was a plain and strapless number.

This may be one of the reasons why you're not supposed to show the groom your dress.  I know he'll think I'm beautiful in whatever dress I wear.  But how cool is this dress?  How could he hate it?

Back to the drawing board I suppose.

This week has been a hectic one at my job.  I have nothing exciting to report other than my new found love of The Avett Brothers.  They're so great.

This last picture is for Eric...note the vests?

And I'm happy it's Friday!

Three Horses

I really want one of these necklaces from Three Horses.  They're so unique and I'm loving the color combos.

I think the one above is going to be mine.

But they're all so cool!  Check out the shop here.

My boys

Aren't they cute?  Eric is away for a few days visiting a friend in Denver. It's a little bit lonely around here but I'm planning to spend my alone time working on lots of new jewelry!

And yes, that's a double bed.  One of the other pluses to the alone time.

I love hat

My sister got me this hat as a Christmas present.  I've been wearing it constantly.  Thank you Emma!

I love it so much, I had to get it in red too.

Both of these beauties come from Urban Outfitters but I can't find it on their website anymore (btw, isn't it annoying how the stores have moved out all their winter stuff already?).  Made by Wooden Ships.

Last Weekend

Last weekend was a long weekend and I guess I'm still recovering hence the 2 days late blog post. The holiday weekend was spent at home in the Detroit suburbs. On Saturday my mom and me and 2 of my bridesmaids went to look at wedding dresses. We went here which was great and I would totally recommend it to any bride looking for a unique dress.

Saturday evening was spend with these fabulous people:

Norm, one of the cutest dogs I've ever met.

Eric taking a quick nap (why are his eyes closed in every picture?).

On Sunday my wonderful parents took us out for dinner and a nightcap. Thanks Mom & Dad!

It was a great weekend. And hooray for a 4 day week!
