Last Weekend

Last weekend was a long weekend and I guess I'm still recovering hence the 2 days late blog post. The holiday weekend was spent at home in the Detroit suburbs. On Saturday my mom and me and 2 of my bridesmaids went to look at wedding dresses. We went here which was great and I would totally recommend it to any bride looking for a unique dress.

Saturday evening was spend with these fabulous people:

Norm, one of the cutest dogs I've ever met.

Eric taking a quick nap (why are his eyes closed in every picture?).

On Sunday my wonderful parents took us out for dinner and a nightcap. Thanks Mom & Dad!

It was a great weekend. And hooray for a 4 day week!

  1. Hey Katy, I found your blog through your etsy site. It's so great!!!

I hope you had fun time dress shopping. I loved it. I keep telling Rick that we have to get married again so I can get another dress. The most he'll agree to is a drive through wedding in Vegas. :) oh well.

Hope you're well, tell everyone I said hi!

    Love,

    Erica

  2. Hi Erica! Dress shopping was a lot of fun. Before we got there I was really nervous for some reason but now I want more! We talked about your dress and how pretty it was. Where did you go?

And there's nothing wrong with a fancy wedding dress in Vegas! You can go renew your vows someday.

It's really good to hear from you!

  3. Hey Katy, I'm glad it was fun! Even if a couple of the dresses aren't that great, it's still fun playing dress up! My dress was an Alvina Valenta and I got it from Arena Bridal in Shelby. http://www.arenabridal.com/index.php

I liked Arena because they have all their dresses hanging out and you can browse all of them yourself and take them to your dressing room. They also kind of leave you alone in your dressing room so my mom helped me to get into the dresses instead of a random lady. (Im sure they would have helped if we had asked) Also, free alterations were included in the price of the dress.

You are right about Vegas! One Day :)

    Talk to you soon!
